Werder Bremen Football Club of Germany has announced that it is terminating Naby Keïta’s contract, and has banished the player to train alone till departure.

The Guinean midfielder joined Bremen last season, but it is now decided that he moves on in search of a new challenge.

Keïta’s time at Bremen was marked by inconsistency, injuries and alleged indiscipline.

Despite his talent, he struggled to find his footing in the Bundesliga, and the club has decided not to extend his contract.

Career Review

Naby Keïta’s career has been marked by ups and downs. He rose to prominence at Red Bull Salzburg, earning a move to RB Leipzig in 2016.

His impressive performances in Germany caught the attention of Liverpool, who signed him in 2018 for a then-club record fee.

At Liverpool, Keïta won several honors, including the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup.

However, his time at Anfield was also marked by injuries and inconsistency, and he ultimately failed to live up to his potential.

Keïta’s move to Werder Bremen was seen as a fresh start, but it has now come to an end.

As he leaves Germany, Keïta will be looking for a new opportunity to revive his career and showcase his exceptional talent. Where will he end up next? Only time will tell.

In a related development, the player was voted as the flop of the outgone season in the Bundesliga.
