Hakeem Baba, elder brother to vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party–LP, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has been appointed as Special Adviser on political matters to Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
He announced the appointment through his official social media handles.
The former spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum—NEF, also conveyed his acceptance of the responsibility and harped on the importance of unity and support for the nation during these challenging times.
He said, “It is time to make it public that I have accepted the call to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to the VP, @KShettim,” he stated. “This is not the time for fence-sitting or criticism when you can be useful in turning the country around. I am honored and humbled. Please pray for me & Nigeria.”
