Following the trending revelations made by the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi on platform, Aisha Edward, a moral crusader has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to include the erstwhile governor into his economy team.
Obi has on live programme at Lagos, revealed so many things hampering the economy growth of so many states, and the nation at large.
Among the issue of concern raised by the former governor was that he was able to achieve feats as Governor by ensuring that every flight he took while in office was Nigeria’s economy class, because government house is not a night club or a restaurant.
He also insisted that there was nothing wrong in borrowing but the question remains “what are you borrowing for – consumption or production?
“The only way out of recession is to spend for growth. When you borrow for consumption, you are heading for disaster.”
Describing the speech as inspiring, Edward explained that bringing Obi into the federal government especially on economy team would save the country from recession as his utterance positioned him as change agent, and only man with the nitty-gritty of the change the country was yearning for.
She further called on public servants; governors and legislatures from national to local government level to learn from the speech and cut the high cost of governance in order to save the citizenry from pains and agony.
Edward also enjoined the intellectual community to document Obi’s kinds remarks in print and other relevant materials for reverence purposes by generations yet unborn, for those without megabit to download or watch it live, because according to her, adhering to the clarion calls will also create employment to the teeming unemployed.
She added; “I do not know who has been exposed in the trending anniversary speech of sir peter obi.
“But one thing I am convinced is that he did not only shock the world with his exclusive exposé on the fraudulent style of governance facing the Nigerian state at all tiers of government but he has also unconsciously created job opportunity for my people and every other sensible youth out there, who is and will be very determine to contribute to the repositioning of the nation state for good.
