Buhari will deliver on campaign promises to SE – Moghalu

I always try to be very careful whenever this question comes, because I don’t want to bring out my campaign programme or manifesto now until the appropriate time. I will make my manifesto public at the appropriate time. Then I would be able to make proper comparative analysis. But note that there are a lot of things I am going to do differently. Majorly I will make sure APC manifesto is implemented to the letter in Anambra state.

Q: Overtime, especially in the National Assembly Anambra appear to always present their second best, thereby the state keeps getting below average voices. Does that worry you at all?

That is unfortunate. Most unfortunate. I believe that it would not remain like that for a long time. In a short time everyone would understand what it takes. Anambra state has always remained champion. We are not given to playing second fiddle. The Anambra man and woman are people you cannot take for granted. We always go for the best. We produce the best. So it could be a political anomaly for this wonderful people, these champions to go to battle with their second eleven. But I pray that with time we will understand the implications of what we are doing so that we be more careful with the choice we make about those who represent us. We must change our value system.

Q: Given opportunity to advise the electorate and the duty bearers, what would you tell them to elicit improvement?

For the electorate, I tell them what I have always said in the past; let us not be induced to take a decision that we would all regret. Let us look at every candidate on merit and capacity to deliver. Let it not be because someone paid higher because those who may pay high may not be the best qualified. Let us critically look at who we are sending. And those we are sending must also appreciate where they are coming from and the people they are representing. Therefore must put in their best to justify the confidence of the people that sent them reposed in them.

Q: Do you truly share in Mr President’s optimism that things would soon improve generally?

Oh yes. I do. I am very, very, optimistic. Because when you do a good plan and put things in the right perspectives, when you have put the right foot forward, certainly you can determine where you are going. The truth is that the right steps are being taken and the processes are being structured out so that we can achieve the desired result.
