In a landmark development set to excite African football fans, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in partnership with TotalEnergies, is preparing to unveil a new trophy and revamped brand identity for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
This grand unveiling is scheduled for Thursday, 22 May, at the TotalEnergies offices in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The new trophy marks a significant milestone in CAF’s efforts to elevate the prestige of Africa’s premier club competition, aligning with the continent’s aspirations to showcase its best football talent on a global stage.
The unveiling event will be attended by legendary figures in African football, top officials from CAF, as well as representatives from the two clubs competing in the final — Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and Pyramids FC of Egypt.
The 2024 CAF Champions League final will be decided over two legs, with the first encounter set for Saturday, 24 May, at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa.
The second leg will follow a week later in Cairo on Sunday, 1 June, where the two powerhouse clubs will battle for continental glory and the coveted new trophy.
