CBN revokes Operating Licences of 8 Payment Service Providers

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has revoked the operating licences of eight (8) Payment Service Providers.

This was contained in an official document signed by the CBN governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele and sighted by ElombahNews on Thursday.

According to Mr. Emefiele, the Service Providers’ licences were revoked over “non-performance, inability to meet capital requirements and failure to fulfil or comply with the conditions subject to which their licences were granted etc.”

1. Easifuel Limited
2. Transaction Processing System (TPS)
3. Grand Towers Limited
4. Paymaster Limited
5. E-Revenue Gateway Limited
6. Eartholeum Network Limited
7. Globasure Limited.

One of the firms had its switch licence revoked.

List of Payment Service Provider whose switch licence was revoked is:

1. 3Line Card Management Limited.
