Chad Awards Major General Ibrahim Ali with National Honor

The Chadian Government on Tuesday awarded Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali, the Force Commander of MNJTF, the prestigious title “Officer of the National Order of Chad.” This recognition celebrates his exceptional contributions to peace and security in the Lake Chad region.

Presented by Honorable Minister Issaka Malloua Djamouss, this award represents one of Chad’s highest honors.

The Minister delivered the award on behalf of President Field Marshal Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, highlighting its significance.

Moreover, the Minister noted that this award is reserved for individuals who significantly enhance regional stability.

He praised General Ali’s leadership during Operation Lake Sanity 2, which successfully repatriated refugees and dismantled terrorist logistics bases.

In his acceptance speech, General Ali expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President and Minister of Defense for this esteemed recognition.

He dedicated the award to MNJTF troops, acknowledging their valor and bravery throughout Operation Lake Sanity 2.

The ceremony included notable attendees, such as HE Amb Mamman Nuhu, Head of Mission MNJTF, and Lt Gen Ramadan Erdibou, Chief of Staff to the President.
