Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that Chelsea Football Club has ended deal to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan .
He said there was a valuation dispute that led to their pulling out of the deal.
This according report was as a result of not meeting the condition of the deal which was reportedly on the high side.
The report states: “Chelsea Football Club has reportedly pulled out of negotiations to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, with the deal collapsing over a valuation dispute, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Premier League side on Tuesday were unwilling to meet Milan’s asking price, which reportedly included a premium tied to the upcoming Club World Cup.
“Mike Maignan deal now OFF between Chelsea and AC Milan. Chelsea not willing to meet Milan price, deal not proceeding in time for Club World Cup as #CFC won’t pay ‘CWC tax’,” Romano reported.
The Blues had made an improved bid of €21 million, but Milan stood firm on their valuation, leading to the collapse of the deal.
