The leadership of African Democratic Congress ADC Owerri North chapter was today unveiled and constituted.
The occasion which was part of the party’s inaugural move to kick start registration of members at the grassroots was well attended by party stalwats drawn from all the wards and chapters across the local government area.
In declaring the meeting open at the residence of Hon Chief Kelechi Nzewuihe, the LGA coordinator Hon Maxwell Nlemadim (Webber) gave a vivid report and appraised the political situation in the country and went on to give kudos to Owerri leaders for their team spirit, resilience and dexterity.
He expressed his appreciation to all the Rebuild Imo Movement for their patience, doggedness and in keeping faith with their leader, HE Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and the Coalition that gave birth to ADC despite the tough times it took.
He informed them of the party’s directives to commence registration of members across board in all the wards and chapters of the LGA with immediate effect.
The political tactician went on to appeal to them to accommodate and reach out to people who are willing to join to broaden the inclusiveness of all and sundry.
While unveiling the party, Hon Solomon Onwuegbuchulam, former State Secretary of PDP and Rebuild Imo Movement, urged the leaders to work harder in unity for them to achieve success in the task ahead.
The astute politician went on to advised the leaders to eschew rancour, be proactive and pragmatic in the new assignment.
The meeting had in attendance some prominent party leaders among who were Nze Charles Asika Agoh (Akataka 1 of Agbala), Nneoma Gloria Chukwuba, Sir Cyril Aririguzo and other party stalwarts just to mention but a few.

The former Governor of Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ADC, issuing a directive to rebuild Imo movement to join the party.

These developments indicate the ADC’s growing influence in Imo State, potentially redefining the region’s political landscape.
