COPDEM chairman storms DDM morning show amid national security tension

(DDM) – Diaspora Digital Media has announced another edition of its weekly public-interest programme, The Morning Show, scheduled for Wednesday, 26 November 2025, at 9 a.m.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that this week’s edition will focus on the increasingly troubling national security challenges confronting Nigeria, with particular emphasis on the concerns raised by the Coalition for the Protection of Democracy, COPDEM.

The media organisation confirmed that the special guest for the programme is Prince Rwang Pam Jr.

He is the National Chairman of COPDEM.

He is expected to provide firsthand insights into the organisation’s assessment of the country’s growing insecurity.

The programme will be anchored by Tochukwu Raphael.

According to the invitation released by Diaspora Digital Media, the conversation will explore how national security deterioration is affecting governance, civil liberties, and citizen confidence.

The organisers added that the show will examine what COPDEM describes as a “dangerous escalation” of security failures across several regions.

The Morning Show has increasingly become a platform for public engagement on political accountability, governance issues, and human-interest stories.

The series has over the past months featured lawmakers, civil society leaders, security analysts, and grassroots activists.

This week’s edition continues that pattern, particularly at a time when Nigerians are expressing fear over rising violent crimes and institutional instability.

Participants have been invited to join via a Zoom link provided by Diaspora Digital Media.

The organisation emphasised that viewers who wish to contribute must turn on their cameras while speaking.

The statement explained that participants must also ensure proper lighting, stable internet connection, and clear audio quality.

The organisers say these requirements are necessary to maintain broadcasting standards and ensure a smooth conversation flow.

The Zoom meeting ID for the programme is 826 4753 6781.

The passcode is 505326.

Background checks by DDM show that COPDEM has in recent months raised alarm over political intimidation, economic hardship, and what it terms systemic insecurity threatening Nigeria’s democratic order.

The group has repeatedly called for institutional reforms, improved intelligence coordination, and accountability from top security agencies.

The decision to host Prince Rwang Pam Jr on The Morning Show comes at a time when public anxiety around national security is at its peak.

Observers say his appearance may shed light on the coalition’s next steps as tensions rise in various states.

Stakeholders also believe the programme will stimulate national debate about the government’s response to growing instability.

Analysts note that Diaspora Digital Media’s engagement with political leaders, activists, and policy influencers has positioned the platform as a critical channel for democratic discourse.

Many viewers see the weekly show as a safe space for citizens to ask questions that mainstream platforms often avoid.

The upcoming edition is expected to draw strong viewership due to the sensitive nature of national security discussions.

COPDEM’s involvement is also likely to attract national attention because the group has been vocal about governance lapses and threats to democratic freedoms.

The Morning Show continues to expand its audience, particularly among Nigerians at home and in the diaspora seeking credible political analysis.

Wednesday’s edition is expected to provide clarity, raise new questions, and possibly reshape public conversation on national security concerns.

Diaspora Digital Media maintains that its obligation is to the public and to the promotion of accountable leadership.

The organisation added that the programme will remain open to all citizens willing to engage in constructive national dialogue.

The show will air live at exactly 9 a.m. as scheduled.

Viewers have been advised to join early to avoid missing the introductory session.
