Justice Jude Okeke of the FCT High Court sitting in Abuja, has on Wednesday exonerated Hon Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the entire 16 counts charge and dismissed the case.
The charges were proffered by the Department of State Security [DSS] prosecution following the nationwide raids on judges.
Alongside Justice Ademola were also exonerated Barrister Joe Agi, SAN, and Mrs Ademola, the Head of Service [HOS] of Lagos State [above].
The judge, in a case titled “Federal Republic of Nigeria vs Justice Adeniyi Francis Adetokunbo Ademola & 2 Ors”, struck out the case, saying the allegations were based on mere speculations and suspicions .
Ruling, a visibly angry Justice Okeke said: “Judges are not Church mouse, we can also live luxurious lifestyles from legitimate earnings “.
The judge, hence, dismissed the entire 16 counts charge and acquitted and sets the defendants free.
