Justice M. S. Hassan of the Federal High Court Ikoyi on Friday July 1, 2016, adjourned the ruling for bail till Monday July 4, 2016 on the case involving:
1. Nenadi Esther Usman, a former Minister of Finance and Director of Finance PDP Presidential Campaign Organization in the last general elections along with,
2. Femi Fani-Kayode also a former Minister and Director Media/Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization,
3. Danjuma Yusuf and Jointrust Dimensions Nigeria Limited.
They are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] over the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] campaign funds.
The accused persons were arraigned on a 17-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, corruption and making cash payments exceeding the amount authorized by law.
The Commission’s charge is in relation to about N4.9 billion Naira belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The said funds were allegedly stolen and illegally disbursed for political and personal uses.
