Nigerian nightlife entrepreneur and socialite Cubana Chief Priest has reportedly announced a shift in his priorities, saying his recent trip to China has changed his perspective on wealth, luxury and business.

In a statement circulating online, the businessman said his experience in China left him humbled and inspired him to focus more on production and job creation rather than spending on luxury cars and watches.

According to the statement, Cubana Chief Priest said that after receiving his new Rolls-Royce, he no longer intends to prioritise purchasing more luxury vehicles and expensive watches.

“My trip to China has changed my view about everything. I came here and I’m humbled. After receiving my new Rolls-Royce, no more cars and watches. It’s going to be production on production,” he said.

He further disclosed plans to establish a production company in Owerri, Imo State, saying he would rather invest the money he might have spent on a Ferrari into a business that could create employment opportunities.

“The money I would use to buy my Ferrari, I will use it to set up a production company in Owerri and employ not less than 1,000 people,” he added.

The statement has drawn attention to the potential impact of local manufacturing and business investment, particularly in a country where job creation remains a major economic concern.

If implemented, the proposed company could create employment opportunities for residents of Owerri and surrounding communities. However, details about the proposed production business, its intended products, investment timeline and recruitment plans have not been disclosed in the statement.

Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, is widely known for his involvement in Nigeria’s nightlife and hospitality industry, as well as his high-profile lifestyle and social media presence.

His reported comments suggest a possible shift towards using his resources to build businesses with broader economic benefits. Whether the plan will translate into a fully established production company remains to be seen.

For now, his remarks have sparked conversations about the difference between spending on personal luxury and investing in ventures that can support long-term growth and employment.
