Music superstar Davido has officially been welcomed as a voting member of the Recording Academy, the organization responsible for the Grammy Awards.
This achievement grants the “Feel” crooner a role in the global community of music professionals who will help determine the winners of the 2026 Grammy Awards.
The Recording Academy introduced Davido alongside other new members, including Ravyn Lenae, Offset, Jessie Reyez, and Zac Brown Band, through an Instagram video emphasizing the significance of member participation.
As a voting member, Davido will directly contribute to the nomination and final-ballot processes for the 2026 Grammy Awards, following his three nominations at the 2024 GRAMMYs.
Expressing his excitement, Davido said: “Voting empowers you to have a say in what is considered and voted on in each season. I am honoured to be part of this community and look forward to contributing.”
This milestone aligns with the Academy’s efforts to diversify its membership, promoting greater representation of African artists and global talent.
The voting period for the 2026 GRAMMYs begins on October 3, with members encouraged to review the ballot and vote early.
