Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, father of Nigeria music superstar, Davido has donated N1 billion to the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in honour of his late mother, Nnena Esther Adeleke.
He made the donation during a thanksgiving service held at the church’s headquarters in Lagos on Sunday.
“On behalf of our late mother, senior mother in Israel, late Mrs Esther Adeleke, we want to contribute to the endowment fund, Centenary Endowment Fund. We are contributing the sum of N1 billion,” he said.
Deputy Baba Aladura Harold Demuren praised the Adeleke family for their magnanimity and commitment to serving humanity.
“The Adeleke family and their members are rare gems. They serve the lord and humanity in humility and consistency,” he said.
The donation comes as the C&S Church prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025, founded by Pa Moses Orimolade Tunolase.
