Deji Adeyanju: Reno Omokri Goes After Charly Boy

Mr. Reno Omokri, an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has taken a swipe at ace musician turned activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy amidst the crisis the has engulfed his relationship with his former partner, Comrade Deji Adeyanju.

Charly Boy had responded to Comrade Adeyanju’s recent allegation that he collected money from the spokesman of Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Festus Keyamo [SAN].

Charly Boy, taking to his Twitter handle wrote:

When a Father sits in silence, it’s because he is a Fada. Deji, me and you know wetin dey worry you, wey you no fit tell your fans. Nevertheless, I still love you; Try mellow on your break dancing my Son.

Faulting Charly Boy’s claim of innocence, Reno Omokri fired eleven shots at the former musician in a series of tweet addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC].

In the tweet hashtagged #CharlyBoyOrCharlyCheap, he wrote:

Have you listened to the tape of Charly Boy,  @AreaFada1, admitting to collecting bribe from @MBuhari’s campaign through Festus (Stephanie Otobo) @FKeyamo, to slander PDP’s @Atiku? Is this not against the Electoral Act? #CharlyBoyYourMumuDonDo!

Writing further, he stated:

2-And as for you Charly Boy, @AreaFada1, I admired you when I was a child. You have built up such a formidable mystique. Why allow an odious fellow like Festus (Stephanie Otobo) @FKeyamo rubbish what you have built over the years? Why sell out so cheaply?

3-When you, Charly Boy (@Areafada1) were a star in the 80s, where was Festus (Stephanie Otobo) @FKeyamo? You used to be a respected legendary icon. Who should be bribing who between you and that ambulance chaser called Keyamo? Oh I am so disappointed!

4-Charly Boy, I went to your concert at Trade Fair Complex as a teenager in 1990. I saw you physically. I spent my pocket money on you. I can still sing 1990, your hit 1989 song. Why have you chosen to make me ashamed of you in my middle age @AreaFada1?

5-We know Festus (Stephanie Otobo) @FKeyamo to be gutter born, gutter raised and gutter destined (unless he changes). But you, @Areafada1, were born to a honourable man/family. No matter how much money gutter gives you, you shouldn’t stoop to collect it!

6-Even if you, Charly Boy @AreaFada1, want to collect bribe, don’t you have sense in that your gorimapa head to know that you should not have taken it from a loud mouth guttersnipe like Festus (Stephanie Otobo) @FKeyamo, who has been casting your matter?

7-Festus (Stephanie Otobo) @FKeyamo is Nigeria’s most notorious gossip. Is that the type of person you, Charly Boy @AreaFada1, expect will give you bribe and will not cast your matter to anyone who cares to listen? Oh Charly! First Gbenga Daniel. Now you!

8-A week ago, you claimed you saw your late father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, in a dream. Perhaps your father was not crying for the rot in the judiciary, as you claimed. Perhaps, he was crying for the rot in his son. Shame on you Charly Boy! @AreaFada1

9-What both Charly Boy (@Areafada1) and Gbenga Daniels have done recently has fed false stereotypes of betrayal and love for money about their individual tribes. These stereotypes are not true, but Charles and Daniel feed them making it hard to dispel

10-To all other activists and lovers of democracy, learn from Charly Boy’s saga. Festus (Stephanie Otobo) @FKeyamo is a gutter born disease. Whatever he touches eventually stinks of the gutter. He has ridiculed @AreaFada1, don’t let him do same to you

11-Finally, the only thing that can salvage the #OurMumuDonDo movement is the immediate dismissal of Charly Boy, @AreaFada1, as its chairman and the initiation of strong disciplinary measures to serve as a deterrent to other wolves in sheep clothing.
