Lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, has been spotted on a movie set days after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Photos circulating on social media showed the actor-turned-politician alongside fellow Nollywood star Ibrahim Chatta at what appeared to be a film location.

The two were seen interacting during what looked like an active movie production.

The development has generated reactions online, with many fans expressing excitement over Elliot’s apparent return to the screen after spending several years in active politics.

Elliot recently lost the APC primary for the Surulere Constituency I seat to Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who secured the party’s ticket for the 2027 election.

Before venturing into politics, Elliot established himself as one of Nollywood’s notable actors, featuring in numerous films and television productions.

Although his recent appearance on a movie set has fueled speculation about a return to acting, the three-term Lagos lawmaker has yet to officially confirm whether he is making a full comeback to the Nigerian film industry.
