Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, is in mourning mood on social media following the passing of her maternal grandmother on July 23, 2024.

Cuppy shared the heartbreaking news on her X on Friday.

She said she finds solace in knowing that her late grandmother is at peace in heaven.

Cuppy, who seemed to have a close connection with her late grandmother, expressed gratitude for the way her grandmother has influenced both her and her mother over the past few years.

She also shared photos and videos capturing various moments she spent with her grandmother.

Her tweet read,

My mummy’s mother has passed away I’m finding comfort knowing she’s in heaven, looking down on us with love.

What a life she lived! I’m SO grateful for the way she shaped my mum, who then shaped me.

I’m praying for my very own during this sudden season of change, but we already know that our God is good all the time.

Grandma Kaduna, your spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us.
