Facts emerged that the meeting held in Akure in Ondo state for the endorsement of the Presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu was organized by ‘Conscience of Yoruba Nation’.

The meeting was only chaired by Pa Rueben Fasoranti who had handover the leadership of Afenifere to Pa. Ayo Adebanjo.

Although, the handlers of the Presidential candidate of APC created impression in the media that it was Afenifere endorsement, but the letter of invitation obtained by our correspondent which was signed by Dare Babarinsa was the meeting organized by the Conscience of Yoruba Nation’ .

According to the agenda of the meeting,
To discuss historic 2023 general elections and guide the Yoruba people of Nigeria to take definite and wise position in the overall interest of posterity and also , an interaction with one of the leading candidate, his Excellency, Bola Tinubu.

The letter of invitation was dated October 24

Our correspondent observed that most of the people at the meeting were former political office holders and card carrying membets in Yoruba land , not members of Afenifere
