*Says APC lacks experience to rule
Business Mogul and Politician, Raymond Dokpesi who is currently on a nationwide campaign tour for the coveted seat of PDP National Chairman believes all that his party quickly needs to do is to rebrand itself and puts its house in order if it hopes to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019.
Dokpesi made the statement shortly after delivering his campaign before a crowd of party leaders in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State.
The media mogul said the task of dislodging APC is made easier and quite evident in the performance of a political party he said has shown it lacked the prerequisite experience and capacity to rule.
“APC has demonstrated clearly it cannot rule Nigeria.
“The party lacks the experience, unlike PDP who ruled the country for many years”.
Dokpesi said APC merely “stumbled” on power and has shown through its actions and inactions that it was clearly not prepared for the task of leadership.
He said all that PDP needs to do is to quickly re-invent itself and send APC packing in 2019.
But re-inventing PDP is proving difficult at the moment as the party seems to be sliding deeper in leadership crisis.
Embattled National Chairman Ali Modu Sheriff is not letting go despite court rulings asking him to relinquish office.
On Tuesday, the same Sheriff approached Federal High Court, Abuja with an application asking the court to stop August 17th convention in Port Harcourt.
If that happens, it could mean an end to Dokpesi’s ambition.
Reacting, Dokpesi said Ali Modu Sheriff’s attitude to power typifies the same old order that must first give way in the party to breath fresh air into it.
He said part of his mission to “WADATA HOUSE” is to rebuild the party.
He said that he has come to solicit for votes from delegates in EBONYI to actualize his dream, knowing that power truly really belongs to the people.
State Party members led by their Chairman, Onyekachi Nwaebonyi were excited by Dokpesi’s visit; endorsing him on the spot.
