Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday carried out a raid at the home of a suspected terrorist in the Gbeganu area, a suburb of Minna in Niger State.

According to local residents, the operation was executed during daylight hours.

Sources close to the secret police revealed that this was the third raid under four years in the neighbouring areas of Nkangbe and Gbeganu, both situated in the Bosso local government area.

The suspect in question is believed to have been storing weapons for a terrorist organisation, though specific details about the arms recovered are shrouded in secrecy.

A huge amount of cash, including US dollars, was seized during the raid.

The suspect, previously known as a tricycle rider, was revealed to have been involved in terrorist activities.
