Dylan Sprouse has opened up about fatherhood and his admiration for his wife, model Barbara Palvin, after welcoming their daughter, Sylvia.
The actor said watching Palvin go through childbirth gave him a new appreciation for women and the physical strength involved in giving birth.
According to Sprouse, witnessing his wife give birth convinced him that women are “definitely the physically toughest gender.”
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star also spoke warmly about becoming a father to a baby girl, admitting that he did not expect to enjoy fatherhood as much as he does.
“I did not expect to like this as much as I do,” Sprouse said while discussing his experience as a new dad.
He described his daughter, Sylvia, affectionately, saying, “I’m looking at baby Sylvia and I’m like, ‘That’s the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen in my life.’”
Sprouse also revealed that he regularly notices similarities between his daughter and both himself and Palvin.
“Some days I look at her and I’m like, ‘That’s Barbara to a tee,’ and then… ‘That’s kind of Dylan,’” he said.
The actor’s comments highlight his excitement about watching his daughter grow and recognising different aspects of both parents in her personality and appearance.
Sprouse and Palvin, who married in 2024, have largely kept their personal life private while occasionally sharing glimpses of their relationship with fans.
The arrival of their daughter has now given the actor another role to embrace as he adjusts to life as a father.
For Sprouse, becoming a girl dad has apparently been an experience filled with admiration for his wife, affection for his daughter and the joy of watching two sides of the family come together in one child.
