The Executive Director, Asset Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON, Dr Ebere Uneze was at the weekend, May 27, 2017 at Umunwoha area of Owerri, Imo state given a heroic reception by his community.
The reception which witnessed the presence of cream la de cream in Imo politics, also had in attendance community leaders, chiefs, colleagues, family and friends of Dr Uneze who came to honour him.
The event started with Thanksgiving Church Service at St. Marks Anglican Church, Orogwe Umunwoha.
At the end of the church thanksgiving service, Dr Ebere Uneze received a chieftaincy title from the community. He was conferred with the title of IKEMBA UMUNWOHA by the five Ezes of the autonomous communities that make up Umunwoha.
The train then moved to Umunwoha central school for reception which was chaired by Sir Cliff Nzimako.
His Excellency, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha who was the special guest of honour used the occasion to assure Umunwoha that his govt would provide basic infrastructure to the community.
The governor prayed that his visit to the community would bring them favour and blessings as well as political dividends amidst cheers.
Presenting his welcome address earlier, Dr Ebere Uneze, Ikemba Umunwoha, Ofo Ise, thanked his community for the honour done to him and pleaded with the State govt to attend to the yearnings of his community by attending to their deplorable roads and other infrastructure.
Ikemba who was overwhelmed by the personalities that graced the event to honour him thanked the executive governor for finding out time to attend and appreciated everyone that came to the occasion, especially his in-laws from Umunya, Anambra State who came in large numbers.
