Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole [picture above] has suspended four Local Government chairmen over delays, or lack of, payment of staff salaries and/or diversion of funds.

This was disclosed in a letter to the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Julius Ihonvbere.

According to Mr. Ihonvbere, their suspension, which is for two months, is to pave the way for unhindered investigation into corruption allegations against the chairmen.
