Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday quizzed the former Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunewe over alleged case of abuse of office
and misappropriation of fund.
The anti-graft agency acted on petition submitted by concerned stakeholders in Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, FUNAAB against the Pro-Chancellor who is Ogunenwe.
EFCC on his twitter handle disclosed that the former Minister is still in the commission detention in iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State office.
According to a petition submitted to the EFCC by the Concerned Stakeholders of the Federal University of Agriculture, it was alleged that the Pro Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor engaged in an “unbridled corruption and betrayal of public trust”.
Ogunewe is still being interrogated by the EFCC operatives.
