A Nigerian court had earlier frozen almost $1.8bn (£1.2bn) in assets owned by the pair of oil tycoons, Jide Omokore and KolaAlukp as Nigeria steps up its campaign to recoup tens of billions of dollars funnelled from state coffers under the regime of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
The order, handed down last month by the High Court in Lagos, offers a glimpse of the extraordinary lifestyle of Aluko, 46 , and former business partner Omokore.
Both rose to fabulous wealth thanks to deals struck with Jonathan’s former oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is also being investigated.

Mr. Yakubu was the GMD of the NNPC between 2012 and 2014 when Atlantic Energy allegedly lifted oil without remitting what was due to the federal government.
The duo are facing a four-count criminal charge preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The arraignment which was initially scheduled to take place on Monday, was stalled by absence of the two defendants in court.
