Eket Senatorial District’s Support Non-negotiable -Obong Ekere Assures Gov. Eno

Former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Nsima Ekere, has reiterated Eket Senatorial District’s unalloyed support for the Governor Umo Eno-led administration in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the senatorial district at the APC state secretariat in Uyo during the governor’s visit to the party office, he declared that Governor Eno has earned the support and trust of the senatorial district two years into his first term.
Positing that one good turn deserves another, Obong Ekere, who was the governorship flagbearer of the APC in the 2019 election in Akwa Ibom, said the governor has left no one in doubt about his love and commitment to uplifting Eket Senatorial District.
His words: “Our senatorial district is properly catered for in this administration. There’s no doubt that projects, appointments, and other dividends will continue to come our way. For these and more, we say thank you, Your Excellency.”
Obong Ekere also hailed the governor for his unwavering commitment to elevating and uniting APC in the state.
“There was a time when this party had two secretariats and two chairmen. But today, we are all gathered under one roof as one indivisible party. I joined APC in 2015, and many of us here have been on this journey together. Your Excellency, I appeal to you to help us heal the wounds of the past. Let us sheathe our swords and work together as one united family.”
Also at the event, Governor Eno announced the appointment of Ekere to the APC State Secretariat Building Committee.
The committee, chaired by Sir Monday Uko, also includes Senator Ita Enang, member representing Oruk Anam/Ukanafun Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem; and the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Obongemem Ekperikpe Ekpo, as members.
The governor charged the committee to begin work immediately on delivering a befitting secretariat for the APC, affirming the state government’s full backing of the initiative.
