Ekiti State boosts development programs with monitoring initiatives

On 3rd February 2025, Dr. John Ekundayo, Director General and Special Adviser to Ekiti State’s Governor, reaffirmed his office’s commitment to ensuring MDAs effectively implement developmental programs.

During a recent radio appearance, he highlighted proactive measures supporting Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration.

Over the past two years, the Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD) introduced innovative policies to enhance change management and improve service delivery.

They also focused on tracking government initiatives across MDAs through the newly launched Ekiti Strategic Pillar Monitoring System (EKSPMS), known as the DASHBOARD.

Dr. Ekundayo explained, “The DASHBOARD enables real-time tracking of projects, categorizing them as ongoing or completed while displaying progress percentages.”

This system revolutionizes governance by promoting transparency, accountability, and optimal resource utilization.

Additionally, it features authenticated project photos with GPS coordinates for global verification.

To strengthen service delivery, the OTSD trained MDA Champions and Assistant Champions to monitor and report project developments.

These Champions enhance communication and oversight, ensuring public service operates with greater efficiency and accountability.

This programme sets specific timelines for email responses, boosting governmental efficiency.

Dr. Ekundayo stated, “Transformation Tidbits ensures prompt correspondence, reflecting our commitment to efficiency.”

The OTSD actively monitors developmental projects statewide, urging citizens to protect public assets from vandalism.

Dr. Ekundayo emphasized community involvement, stressing collective responsibility as essential for safeguarding government projects.

These initiatives mark a significant step toward effective governance and improved public service delivery in Ekiti State.
