Three Para-athletes from Ekiti are participating in the 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) in Benin, an official said on Monday.

The state’s Para-athletics coach, Peter Ojo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti that the three athletes were part of the state’s contingent to the festival.

“We have three of our Para-athletes as part of the contingent to Edo 2020, and they have arrived safely in Benin, ahead of their event’s technical meeting later on Monday.

“The classification of all the athletes will come up on Tuesday by 8 a.m. at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin,” he said.

The coach listed the athletes to include Segun Rotawo, a totally-blind athlete who would be taking part in the 100m and 200m.

He said there was also Babatunde Adewole who will feature in the 100m for the partially-blind.

“David Ajayi, a physically-handicapped athlete, will be taking part in the discus and javelin events.(NAN)
