Emmanuel Uduaghan publicly defended his wife, Senator Natasha, following her allegations against Senate President Akpabio, sparking widespread political debate.

During a Friday Arise TV interview, she accused Akpabio of inappropriate advances at his office and residence.

Tensions escalated after a prior Senate disagreement over seating arrangements.

However, despite this agreement, Uduaghan noted that his wife continues to express concerns about being subjected to harassment.

In his statement, he reaffirmed his trust in her and emphasized the strength of their marital bond.

Uduaghan affirmed, “I firmly trust my wife’s unwavering loyalty and remain devoted to our marriage, which thrives on love, compassion, and mutual respect.”

“I will never trade her,” he emphasized, “as she brings unparalleled joy to my life.”

Finally, he urged the Senate leadership to uphold Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s dignity, ensuring she receives the respect her role demands.

He also urged relevant authorities and judicial bodies to investigate and address the matter appropriately.

The allegations have sparked widespread reactions within political and public spheres, with many awaiting further developments.

Neither Senate President Akpabio nor his office has issued an official response to the claims at the time of this report.

As the situation unfolds, observers are closely monitoring how the Senate and other relevant authorities will handle the allegations, which could have broader implications for Nigeria’s legislative body.
