For decades, Enugu North Senatorial District has suffered systemic marginalization and exclusion from leadership positions in Enugu State and at the federal level.

Senator Okey Ezea’s bold stance in the Senate has sparked hope for justice, equity, and fairness for the people of Enugu North.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), through Comrade Sam Okwa, exposed how no one from Enugu North has been appointed as a minister in over two and a half decades.

The exclusion of Enugu North from the Vice-Chancellorship of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, since its inception is an enduring injustice.

Dr. Daniel Ikechukwu Ugwuja’s replacement at the Southeast Development Commission and Abba Kyari’s selection as UNN’s convocation representative highlight systemic marginalization.

During the ministerial screening, Senator Ezea courageously demanded accountability for Enugu North’s decades-long exclusion from ministerial appointments.

His call for equity and justice resonated deeply, inspiring resistance among the people of in the region.

Enugu North, which boasts the highest population and brightest minds in Enugu State, deserves its rightful place in governance.

The selection of Abba Kyari over Onyedikachi Ona as UNN’s convocation representative was a blatant affront to Nsukka’s people.

“We must unite beyond partisan affiliations to confront decades of marginalization.

“This fight is not about political parties but about justice, equity, and dignity for the people of Enugu North.

“The people must break free from mental dependence on political merchants who exploit their value for personal gain.

“Dr. Ali Shariati’s definition of poverty as the absence of independent thought is a call to action in our district.”
