The 2024/2025 English Premier League (EPL) season will officially wrap up this Sunday, marking the end of months of intense competition.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that while Liverpool have already secured the title and Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton have been relegated, Sunday’s fixtures still carry suspense.

Three Champions League places remain undecided, and a few unexpected results could shake up the final standings.

Here are four fixtures where surprises may unfold:

1. Southampton vs Arsenal

Southampton have already been relegated, and Arsenal are set to finish second.

The match at St. Mary’s appears inconsequential, but that is where danger often lies.

With nothing to lose, Southampton could go all out to end their season with pride.

Arsenal, having shown signs of fatigue and inconsistency lately, could be vulnerable.

The Saints may just stun the Gunners as a final statement before exiting the top flight.

2. Fulham vs Manchester City

Manchester City’s Champions League hopes hinge on this away trip to Craven Cottage.

Although they defeated Bournemouth 3-1 in their last outing, City are not yet safe.

Fulham, despite their inconsistent form, have the tools to frustrate Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Londoners may want to sign off with a major scalp and leave their fans with a memorable win.

If City are complacent, Fulham could pounce and trigger a major upset.

3. Manchester United vs Aston Villa

United fans expected to celebrate a Europa League title this weekend.

But their 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the final left them deflated.

Now sitting in 16th, the Red Devils must seek redemption in their final game.

Aston Villa, aiming for a top-five finish, could be caught off-guard.

United, wounded and desperate, might rise to the occasion and end Villa’s European hopes.

This is a potential banana skin for the visitors.

4. Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

This is a celebratory affair for Liverpool, who will lift the Premier League trophy at Anfield.

However, Crystal Palace are not expected to show up just to clap for the champions.

Having recently won the FA Cup, Palace will want to assert themselves before their Community Shield clash with Liverpool in August.

With the pressure off, Palace might spoil the party atmosphere with a shock result.

Sunday’s showdown could be more than a victory parade.

While many fans expect routine outcomes, the final day of the Premier League often delivers drama and surprises.

As history has shown, complacency and pressure can combine to create unpredictable outcomes.

Football lovers around the world will be watching closely to see which teams rise and which ones stumble at the finish line.
