The Enugu State Government, through the Enugu SME Center (ESME), recently hosted the highly anticipated Three Million Tech Talent (3MTT) Enugu Impact Conference.

This event, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, IHS Towers of Strength, and NITDA, focused on empowering Ndi Enugu youth.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that the aim was to equip them with the skills needed to excel in the digital economy.

ESME played a key role in the success of the conference, which saw the announcement of Enugu’s allocation of 50,000 slots under the 3MTT program.

This initiative offers Ndi Enugu youth the opportunity to train in various tech skills.

It supports the state’s ongoing efforts to create a dynamic digital workforce.

The 3MTT program is an essential part of Enugu’s strategy to address the growing demand for tech talent.

It aligns with His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah’s mandate to train 30,000 youths annually in digital and tech skills.

ESME’s partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy is crucial for preparing Enugu’s youth for the future of work.

By equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in the tech industry, the state ensures leadership in innovation and job creation.

The conference highlighted the central role technology will play in shaping the region’s future.

It emphasized how digital skills can drive economic growth in the state.

An additional component of this initiative is the Digital Skill Enhancement Zones (DEZs) Initiative.

The DEZs initiative aims to establish training facilities across all 17 local government areas of Enugu.

These facilities will give youth access to top-quality tech education.

The goal is to ensure no one is left behind in the digital revolution.

The establishment of DEZs positions Enugu as a growing tech hub.

This encourages innovation and prepares young people for the global digital economy.

The impact of ESME’s efforts was evident in the success stories of participants like Ichaka Obinna, Ijeoma Alenkhe, and Lotanna Nnamani.

These participants benefited from the program’s resources and financial support.

Their stories demonstrate the potential of young Enugu residents to succeed in the tech world.

ESME’s commitment to providing opportunities for growth has advanced the careers of these emerging tech professionals.

In addition to offering training, ESME is dedicated to bridging the digital skills gap in the state.

The 3MTT program will equip thousands of young people with the digital tools needed to succeed in today’s job market.

With access to advanced training, young Nigerians from Enugu are poised to make significant contributions.

The 3MTT Enugu Impact Conference would not have been possible without the support of sponsors, partners, and stakeholders.

ESME extends its sincere thanks to these collaborators for ensuring Enugu youth receive the tools they need to excel in tech.

As the state embraces the digital future, it is clear that ESME will remain at the forefront of this transformation.

ESME will continue to drive innovation and support the next generation of tech talent in Enugu.

In conclusion, the 3MTT Enugu Impact Conference marked a significant milestone in Enugu’s journey toward a strong digital economy.
