Popular actor and lawyer, Barrister Kenneth Okonkwo has lambasted his former party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that everything about the party is bad.
Barrister Okonkwo made the remarks during an interview on the television programme “Politics Today” with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels TV on Friday.
Speaking, Okonkwo, popularly known with his stage name “Andy Nwokeoma”, added that APC “is a skyscraper of failure”.
He went down memory lane to recall how the ruling party plunged the country into an irrecoverable economic and security mess in the seven years it has held sway.
Watch Okonkwo, who recently decamped to the Labour Party (LP) and became “Obedient, a slogan for supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi, decimate his former party on a national television below:

Reacting to the interview, the Peter Obi Express Media (POEM), in a press release entitled “Something new is blowing through Nigeria”, stated:
“Did you watch Barrister Kenneth Okonkwo on Channels TV yesterday with Seun Okinbaloye? If you did and listened carefully you would understand what the Nigerian political old brigade does with the masses and the country and why either Atiku Abubukar or Bola Tinubu will never get us out of the woods, except we get the only option, not an alternative in HE Peter Obi.
“This is an analysis of the import of all he said. The salient difference between the old order and the fresh breath of air in ObiDatti.
“For starters, Labour Party and ObiDatti is the point of departure if we must get a new Nigeria and heal ourselves of the devastation from a combined blow from both APC and PDP. Why so and the points to look at…
“Yes, he spoke for Labour Party and that makes him “spokesman” for the party, but not like the spokespersons of APC and PDP. You want to know the difference?
“Unlike others who are hired and paid for the smoothness of their mouths, Kenneth Okonkwo spoke like a party member who carries the discussions around the party and the presidential candidate on his shoulders.
“He is intimately involved, and you could see the ease with which he spoke and held Seun in awe. He wasn’t an “errand boy” like Festus Keyamo who admitted that he could only get to his principal Ahmed Tinubu, through his son Sheyi while he was in London.
“Did you hear what he said about manifestos as against 7-points agenda of Peter Obi? Specifically, manifestos in Nigeria have become mere documents presented to the likes of Atiku Abubakar without his knowing the contents, but only trumpeting about being a unifier, while his party members are at daggers drawn sitting on a dividend country?
“As for the APC, it’s arguably that there is not a single thing they promised Nigerians that is done, instead, all are completely discarded, and the opposite things done.
“There is evidently a new thing happening in Nigeria with the Peter Obi’s candidacy. Yes, the first responsibility of a leader is to draw reality… and the leader is a servant. And that’s where the ObIdient Movement is virtually running the structure campaigns for Labour Party with Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti-Ahmed on the steering.
“This important difference cannot be overemphasized because, the 2023 election is going to be a people’s election, not the riggers carnival of the past elections.
“That ObiDatti are here is summed up for us by Yoko Ono. That Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and peace activist who wrote that “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality”
“Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed are reality, not dreaming alone about their vision for Nigeria, they are doing so with us, the Nigerian people. Open your eyes to a new Nigeria and you can close them again and join the sweet dream.
“It is POssible!” Read more.
