A former beauty queen, Oluwadamilola Aderinoye who was declared wanted for drug trafficking, has surrendered to National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Lagos Command after eight months of being on the run.

This was disclosed in a statement by the spokesman of the anti-narcotic agency Femi Babafemi on Sunday.

Oluwadamilola Aderinoye who is also known as Aderinoye Queen Christmas was declared wanted by the agency in January after she escaped from her Lekki residence when NDLEA operatives raided her apartment following credible intelligence she deals in illicit substances.

During the raid, NDLEA operatives allegedly seized 606 grams of Canadian Loud, a potent synthetic strain of cannabis, an electronic weighing scale, a large quantity of drug packaging materials, and a black RAV 4 SUV.

“The suspect, Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, also known as Ms. Queen Christmas, has now turned herself in after nearly eight months in hiding,” Babafemi stated.

“She had been evading arrest since January, when she fled her home in Lekki, Lagos, during a raid by NDLEA operatives based on credible intelligence about her involvement in illicit drug activities.”

Aderinoye, who has claimed she had been hiding in Akure, Ondo State, since her escape, finally surrendered to the agency on Wednesday, August 28.
