Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has expressed gratitude to fans and supporters of her film, Efunroye: The Unicorn, despite recent concerns over its screening in cinemas.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress thanked audiences for their continued support since the movie’s theatrical release, offering prayers and appreciation to those who have shown loyalty to the project.
“A huge thank you to everyone who has been supportive of the Efunroye journey since it hit cinemas,” she wrote, encouraging fans to keep showing up for the film, which is still being screened nationwide.
Williams acknowledged the challenges of releasing a movie outside the festive season typically a peak period for Nollywood box office success but remained optimistic about the film’s performance and reception.
Her message comes days after she alleged that some cinemas had deliberately reduced the number of screenings for Efunroye: The Unicorn, despite strong audience interest. According to her, the situation made it difficult for some viewers to find available showtimes, which she described as an act of sabotage against her project.
Despite the setback, the actress appears to be shifting focus toward gratitude and resilience, celebrating the progress of her film while urging fans to continue supporting it in cinemas.
