israel kills 7 children from one family in air strike on gaza

Twelve family members, including seven children, were murdered in an Israeli airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip.

This was revealed by the Palestinian Civil Defense rescue organization.

The agency’s employees were shown rescuing people from beneath the debris of the Khallah family home in Jabalia in a video that was uploaded to its Telegram channel on Friday night.

“All of the martyrs are from the same family, including seven children, the oldest aged six,” civil defence spokesman Mahmoud Basal said.

According to Basal, 15 more individuals were hurt in the air raid.

The Israeli military relaid that it had attacked “several terrorists who were operating in a military structure belonging to the Hamas terrorist organisation and posed a threat to IDF troops operating in the area”.

“According to an initial examination, the reported number of casualties resulting from the strike does not align with the information held by the IDF,” it added.

Bombing of children

Pope Francis called the bombing of children in Gaza “cruelty” on Saturday.

Children were reportedly bombed yesterday.

“This is not war; this is cruelty,” he declared.

“I want to say it because it touches my heart.”

After attacking Gaza for more than 14 months, Israel resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on Friday.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reports that a drone missile struck a residential structure in the Nuseirat refugee camp’s market strip, killing at least eight people.

According to a news correspondents, an airstrike on Beit Hanoon also claimed four lives.

Two girls and their parents were the victims.

Additionally, three brothers’ bodies were recovered from the wreckage of a destroyed house close to Kamal Adwan Hospital.

Stuck in a “graveyard”

Senior Emergency Officer Louise Wateridge of UNRWA (the United Nations’ Palestinian refugee agency) warned on Friday that Gaza has turned into a “graveyard” as severe winter rains, starvation, poor living conditions, and ongoing hostilities continue to put lives in jeopardy.

“An entire society here is now a graveyard…

“Over two million people are trapped,” she said, speaking from the Nuseirat camp.

She went on saying:” It’s impossible for families to shelter in these conditions” .

“Most people are living under fabric, they don’t even have waterproof structures and 69 percent of the buildings here have been damaged or destroyed.

“There’s absolutely nowhere for people to shelter from these elements,” she stated.

Nearly six million Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria receive aid from UNRWA.

According to report, legislation prohibiting UNRWA from working in Israel and occupied East Jerusalem was passed by Israeli lawmakers in October, and the possibility of similar actions against other humanitarian organizations was raised.

In reaction to Israel’s prohibition, Sweden said on Friday that it would cease sponsoring UNRWA but promised to quadruple its aid to Gaza through other organizations.

Philippe Lazzarini, the head of UNRWA, called the Swedish government’s decision “disappointing” and “at the worst time for Palestine refugees” on X, formerly Twitter.

In a resolution passed on Friday, the UN General Assembly requested an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) outlining the legal requirements for Israel to permit UN, international, and third-party aid operations in Palestinian territory.

Judges of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) earlier this year ordered Israel to stop its offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, leave the territory, and allow the Gaza population to access safety and humanitarian aid.

Israel hasn’t followed through, reports say.

These temporary sanctions were reported as part of a case that accused Israel of genocide in Gaza, which was started by South Africa and later joined by a number of other nations.
