Famous burning tanker driver gets chieftaincy title after Buhari failed to honour him

The famous burning tanker driver, Ejiro Otarigho, has been honoured by the King (Osu-Ovie) of Agbarho Kingdom in Ughelli -North Local Government Area of Delta State.

It could be recalled that Mr. Otarigbo drove the burning tanker away from densely populated area to a safe place earlier in June this year.

Consequently, Nigerians urged President Muhammadu Buhari to award him with National Honours for bravery, humanity and courage in the face of adversity.

The president, however, failed to do so.

Meanwhile, other Nigerians rewarded him with cash donations running into millions of Naira.

The Agbarho Kingdom, therefore, rose to honour their own after his name was omitted from the National Honours List that was recognised by President Buhari in October.
