FBI launches manhunt for man accused of killing 3 girls

The United States police and federal authorities are urgently hunting a Washington man, Travis Decker, 32, accused of murdering his three daughters and disappearing into a remote forested region.
According to reports, the Wenatchee Police Department in Washington confirmed that Decker is wanted on multiple charges including kidnapping and first-degree murder following the death of his daughters—Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5).
The girls’ lifeless bodies were discovered at a secluded campground in central Washington on June 2.
It is also said that the mother to the victims had reported them missing days earlier, on May 30, after Decker failed to return them following a custody visit and stopped answering her calls.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the three sisters were suffocated, according to law enforcement officers.
Decker’s mobile phone and pickup truck were recovered near the campground, but he was nowhere to be found.
Authorities believe Decker may be hiding deep in the rugged mountain ranges of Washington state.
A known military-trained outdoorsman, Decker reportedly attended survival school and could survive off-grid for months, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison stated during a press briefing.
“We believe he may have hidden supplies in advance and scoped the area before allegedly committing this horrific crime,” Morrison revealed.
The FBI and U.S. Marshals Service have joined the manhunt, deploying drones, search teams, and thermal imaging in the rugged wilderness.
A $20,000 reward has been placed on Decker’s head for information leading to his arrest.
Decker is described as armed, trained, and extremely dangerous, and police warn the public not to approach him under any circumstances.
“He poses a significant risk if approached,” Sheriff Morrison warned.
The Sheriff expressed outrage over the crime, calling it an act “not of a sound mind” and urged Decker to surrender peacefully.
“We want a peaceful resolution. Turn yourself in and stop the suffering. Do what’s right for your children,” Morrison pleaded publicly.
Police have not released a clear motive behind the killings, although they confirmed Decker had no prior major criminal record.
The murders have shocked the local community and the entire United States, with public outrage mounting over the tragic deaths of the innocent girls.
Schoolmates, neighbors, and grieving family members are holding vigils and memorials in the girls’ honor.
Meanwhile, national forests across the region have been closed, affecting hikers and tourists, as the search intensifies.
The FBI, U.S. Marshals, local law enforcement, and military-trained tracking teams are conducting daily grid searches in the mountainous terrain, dense woods, and remote cabins.
Decker is 6 feet tall, weighs approximately 200 pounds, and is believed to be carrying camping gear, food supplies, and survival equipment.
He may attempt to cross into neighboring states or even flee into Canada, officials said.
The FBI is urging anyone with information to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips through their website.
The horrifying story continues to develop as authorities vow not to rest until Travis Decker is located and brought to justice.
