Federal Executive Council Approves 4 New Universities

The Federal Executive Council presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari has, on Wednesday, approved four new private universities.

Speaking to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa after the meeting, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu gave the names of the universities as follows:

  1. Greenfield University, Kaduna
  2. Dominion University, Ibadan, Oyo State
  3. Trinity University, Ogun State, and,
  4. Westland University in Iwo, Osun State.

With the latest approval, the number of universities in Nigeria has now risen to 73, including the latest fourth additions.
