Female passenger dies inside commercial tricycle in Aba, Abia

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Aba, Abia State, where a female passenger died inside a moving tricycle, popularly known as Keke NAPEP.
The incident happened around Railways Junction Aba, near the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic gate, throwing residents into shock and confusion.
The woman, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, was aboard a commercial tricycle heading to Railway Junction near Ezeukwu Road in Aba city.
Upon arrival at her intended bus stop, she was discovered unresponsive, prompting the tricycle operator to raise an alarm.
Some residents who reacted to the circulating picture of the incident on social media identified her as “Auntie Love,” a teacher and secretary in a popular school in Aba.
However, there’s no official confirmation of her true identity and residence from the Police or government agencies.
The Abia State Police Command has been notified, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities are calling for anyone with information about the woman to come forward promptly to assist in identifying her and notifying her family.
Residents are urged to visit the scene near Tonimas Filling Station to help identify the woman .
The exact cause of her death remains unknown, but some speculate it could be due to natural causes such as high blood pressure or other health challenges.
Discussions on social media suggest that an autopsy would be necessary to determine the cause of death and clear the Keke NAPEP operator of any liability .
