Fani Kayode has accused the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina, of ‘threatening opposition with assassination’.

Chief Femi Fani Kayode has accused the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina, of ‘threatening opposition with assassination’.

Chief Fani Kayode made this clear in an essay he wrote on Saturday and made available to Elombah.com.

He said: “Instead of telling us that his principal can kill us all Femi should consider his many failings and fluctuating health and advise him to resign honorably.

“That is what a real believer and a true man of honor would counsel his erring and ailing boss to do and not try to intimidate those of us that are in opposing with blatant, vulgar and bullish threats of assassination.”

Fani Kayode was responding to Adesina’s piece titled “PMB And The Descendants Of Shimei”.

In his essay, Adesina told a rigorous Biblical story of one Shimei, the son of Gera in ancient Israel.

He compared Shimei to some people in our country today whom he termed “the evil wishers, the hate monger, and those who spend their days conjecturing tragedy for leadership.”

He therein compared President Buhari to “King” David [Nigerians are yet to read the last of the “King”], while those in opposition [PDP members] as the deplorable “Shimei” who wished evils to David just as some persons are wishing Buhari dead.

In conclusion he wrote: “On a certain day, some people would come to prostrate, begging for mercy, asking President Buhari to forgive and forget.

“What will the President do? What did David do?

“Abishai said again to King David: “Let me bring down the head of this man, who cursed, and threw stones at you?””

His reference to Abishai’s statement and parallel it to PDP and Buhari prompted Fani Kayode to raise the alarm of some urgent assassination of opposition members by Buhari’s perceived killing machine.

He said that Buhari’s cabal are the quite the opposite of Davi and his men.

He further said that “they are the darkness that seeks the darkness. They prey on the weak, they destroy the young and they slay the old, the vulnerable and the weary.”

The former Aviation chief has always hammered on the murder of over two thousand Shiites at Kaduna, the brutal murder of over 200 pro-Biafra agitators, and the countless thousands killed by Fulani herdsmen across the country during President Buhari’s watch.

Defying Buhari returns home, he, therefore, asked Adesina to consider Buhari’s “many failings and fluctuating health and advise him to resign honorably”, “instead of telling us that his principal can kill us all”.

He advised his namesake “Femi” not to take path of blood, saying that it “is a dark and unpredictable one”.

According to him, when Buhari does return, “some people will prop him up and pretend that he is well enough to be President until he falls sick and goes back abroad again.”
