FG completes 13-storey NDDC Headquarters in Rivers

Published

After 25 years, the administration of president Mohammadu Buhari has finally completed the 13-storey NDDC Headquarters in Lolo-ama community of Rivers State.

Recall that NDDC had abandoned it for decades to be paying N300m annually for a rented property. Moreover, after the staggering amount that was being paid annually by NDDC as rent was exposed, it generated fierce criticism by Nigerians across the board.

NDDC building before completion

Many Nigerians from all walks of life described the action of NDDC as wasteful considering the fact that such huge amount can be used to complete their permanent building.

However, re-construction restarted in November 2016 to stop the rent payment and today it has been completed for onward usage.
