(DDM) – The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially launched the nationwide rollout of the Inspire Live(s)! Online Real-Time Classes Initiative, aimed at expanding access to quality education for every Nigerian child.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the programme, aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, seeks to address the persistent shortage of qualified teachers while ensuring uninterrupted learning across the country.
The Honourable Minister of Education, Chief (Dr.) Maruf Tunji Alausa, confirmed that full implementation of Inspire Live(s)! has commenced and will cover all classes from Primary 1 to Senior Secondary 3.
Inspire Live(s)! delivers live, interactive lessons using Cisco Webex, allowing students from all regions, including remote communities, to participate in real-time instruction.
Currently, the platform streams daily online classes for Junior and Senior Secondary Schools from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Junior Secondary School students (JSS 1, 2, and 3) are taught subjects including Basic Science, Mathematics, English Language, ICT, Agricultural Science, Basic Technology, Civic Education, French, Physical Education, Religious Studies, History, and Business Studies.
Senior Secondary School students (SSS 1, 2, and 3) have access to Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Language, Economics, Geography, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing/Catering Craft, Civic Education, and Automobile Mechanics.
Certified master teachers deliver the lessons, ensuring professional instruction and high-quality learning experiences for all participants.
To facilitate smooth implementation nationwide, Honourable Commissioners of Education in each state are required to nominate State Focal Officers to coordinate Inspire Live(s)! activities and circulate programme information to all public and private school principals.
Designated schools must be equipped with basic ICT facilities and reliable internet connectivity to enable effective participation in online classes.
School principals are tasked with overseeing registration for students through the Inspire support channels, ensuring that every eligible student can benefit from the programme.
The initiative is open to all public and private schools in Nigeria, democratizing access to education and promoting equity in learning opportunities.
The Ministry of Education described Inspire Live(s)! as “another Renewed Hope in Action,” emphasizing that the programme represents a transformative approach to modern education in Nigeria.
Schools and stakeholders interested in participation or requiring further information can visit inspire.education.gov.ng or contact the Ministry’s desk officers: Mrs. Abdulrasheed Ganiyat (07065762023), Mrs. Idayat Mohammed (09039191716), and Mr. Ado Abdulmalik (08055610079).
