Former Kebbi LG Chairman declared missing after attack

Hon. Umar Namashaya Diggi, the former Chairman of Kalgo Local Government Area in Kebbi State, went missing after an attack.

This incident occurred in the early hours of February 17, around 12:30 a.m., while Diggi was returning to his village from Birnin Kebbi.

Intelligence sources reveal that the attack happened near Gayi Village.

There, assailants chased Diggi in an unidentified vehicle, intensifying the situation.

They forced him to stop, set his Toyota Corolla, bearing registration number KLG 637 AA, ablaze, and fled the scene.

His current whereabouts remain unknown.

Security operatives recovered several items at the scene, including a lighter, a stick, and a fuel-smelling container. Authorities are now examining these items to aid ongoing investigations.

Furthermore,  Kebbi State Police Command confirmed the incident and announced a full-scale investigation.

They aim to determine Diggi’s fate and identify the attackers. Authorities assure the public that they are committed to resolving the case and serving justice.

The disappearance of Hon. Umar Namashaya Diggi has raised concerns among residents and officials in the area.
