FRSC opens portal for 2026 recruitment, releases application guide

The Federal Road Safety Corps has opened its recruitment portal for the 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions in the Officer, Marshal Inspectorate, and Road Marshal Assistant cadres.

The Corps said applications will remain open for four weeks and stressed that the recruitment process is completely free, warning applicants not to pay anyone claiming to offer employment.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must:

Be Nigerian citizens by birth.

Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.

Be single and of good character, with no criminal record.

Meet the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for men and 1.58 metres for women.

Available cadres

Officer Cadre Applicants must possess qualifications such as B.Sc., B.A., HND, MBBS, LLB, B.Pharm or B.Eng., along with a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. The age requirement is 18 to 35 years.

Marshal Inspectorate Cadre Candidates must have an ND, NCE, Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM), or Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) qualification. Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years.

Road Marshal Assistant Cadre Applicants need a minimum of three to five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics. The age limit is 16 to 30 years.

Drivers and Riders Candidates must have an O’Level certificate, a valid driver’s licence and any required trade certificates. Heavy-duty truck drivers must be 26 to 40 years old.

Documents required

Applicants are expected to have the following before beginning the registration process:

National Identification Number (NIN)

Primary and secondary school certificates

Tertiary certificates and transcripts (where applicable)

NYSC discharge or exemption certificate

Local Government Certificate of Origin

Birth certificate or age declaration

Recent passport photograph

Valid email address and phone number

How to apply

Applicants should visit the official recruitment portal, recruitment.frsc.gov.ng, to create an account using their email address, phone number and NIN.

After registration, they should verify their account through the activation link sent to their email before completing the online application form.

Candidates are required to provide accurate personal information, educational qualifications, contact details, next-of-kin information and work experience where applicable. They must also upload scanned copies of all required credentials and a passport photograph.

Before submitting, applicants are advised to carefully review their details. After submission, they should print both the completed application form and acknowledgement slip, as these will be required during the screening exercise and Computer-Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted candidates.

The FRSC reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and urged applicants to report anyone demanding money or promising employment in exchange for payment.
