Former Political enforcer, now freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho has declared in Ibadan that the Yorubas can no longer tolerate having foriegners man their gateways like the airports, seaports and landed borders.
He explained that the scenario was brought about by marriage of inconvenience foisted on Yorubas by the married of inconveniences in the country.
He said Yoruba is no longer interested in the entity call Nigeria, noted that all the closed land borders across the Yoruba land will be open enhceforth.
Sunday Igboho speaking speaking during the World Press Conference at the Yoruba World Congress (YWC), Headquarters Bodija Ibadan maintained that Nigeria is no longer conducive for all the ethnic groups that made up the country, as some are enjoying at the detriment of others.
The World Press Conference had in attendance, various groups such as The Yoruba World Congress (YWC), Yoruba in Diaspora, the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-Determination (NINAS, as well as the leadership of the groups such as Prof. Banji Akintoye, Prof. Mayowa Ogedengbe, Dr. Akin Adejumo, Chief Demola Edward, Chief Ali Oyedeji among others.
He said Yoruba are being marginalize in the scheme of things, the herders are attacking our farmers they have chased them away from our farmland, they are killing and kidnapping us right in our land, we can no longer tolerate them any longer in our land.
We are all in support of our elders and in this movement, our father and leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye and Pa. Ayo Adebanjo as well as all our traditional rulers are in support of our agitation for a Yoruba nation, any the Ooni, Alaafin and the rest monarch across the entire South West States are in support of our movement towards actualize Yoruba nation, any traditional rulers that is not in our support on this movement should do a video and make it public.
We are going to open all our land borders so our people can have access to food and other items, we can’t continue to live where there is no security of lives and properties of our people, they keep on killing us and if we complain they will arrest us.
We are ready to face the police, army or any other security agencies that want to disturb us from taking back our territories from Nigeria.
Nigeria is a failed country, we can no longer be part of the fail State, we have to go our separate ways to allow socio and economic development our people, enough is enough, this suffering is too much, our people are suffering and we can no longer tolerate it again, so I’m speaking on behalf of the entire Yoruba youths that we are in support of the movement of our elders to go our separate ways from Nigeria.
