The Minister of Works, David Umahi, disclosed this on Wednesday while briefing State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Umahi said the projects, spread across the country’s six geopolitical zones, were designed to improve transportation, support economic activities and connect major commercial centres.

He said the approvals reflected the administration’s commitment to addressing Nigeria’s deteriorating road infrastructure.

The minister added that the projects would be closely supervised to ensure quality and timely completion, noting that contractors had been directed to mobilise to their sites immediately.
