“A Tribe called Judah”, a movie by popular actress, Funke Akindele, has smashed the record of the

Nigerian movie with the highest grossing earning.

A Tribe called Judah was released on December 15, 2023.

It hit over 133 million Naira in the first week.

That makes it the film to ever reach such record in the first week of release in Nigeria.

After just three weeks, it harvested 854 million Naira.

That gave Akindele the record of highest grossing Nollywood film in Nigeria.

Other movies produced by the actress such as ‘Omo Ghetto the Saga’, ‘Battle on Buka Street’, had
total gross of 636 million in 2020 and 668 million naira respectively.

On January 4, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ set a new record on Box office.

It became the first Nigerian Movie to gross N1 billion, within 21 days of its release in Cinemas.

The movie elevated Akindele to becoming the fifth most successful actress in Nigeria.

She has a net worth of N500 million ahead of her colleagues, like Ini Edo, Clarion Chukwura, Daniella Okeke, and even Patience Ozokwor.

Ini Edo has net worth N450 million.

Chukwura is worth N450 million.

Okeke is valued at N390 million, while Ozokwor worths N350 million.

A Tribe called Judah is currently the highest grossing movie in the Nigerian movie industry.
