George Davidson discharged & acquitted from defamation suit

Dr. George Davidson has been discharged and acquitted by a Magistrate Court seating in Abuja from a defamation suit involving one Patience Linus, a.k.a. Patience Aladi Yakubu.

The Senior Magistrate, on Thursday, November 18, upheld the No Case Submission of Dr. Davidson and found him not guilty of any charge levelled against him.

The judge stated that the Prosecution failed woefully to prove their case of allegations that Patience Linus, who was accused of impersonating officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  was defamed.

He said the Evidence in the court is not sufficient to convict George Davidson, more so that the Nominal Complainant with plethora of names as Patience Linus, Patience Aladi Yakubu, Patience Zainab Yakubu, etc. is standing trial at the FCT High Court on allegations of impersonating EFCC staff and extortion of cash from unsuspecting Nigerians in the guise of securing jobs for them in Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), et al.
